Day03 Ex03: Bedroom

CHARACTER

Dr. Nohng

The female doctor who works in this Thai hospital.
Her job is to serve out-patients and interview incoming doctors.
She is soft and never gets angry but somehow doesn't laugh a lot.

In c4d I am trying to recreate how her bedroom look like (in a modern time)

I consider her might be a person fond of natural decoration and like to put old Japanese woodblock prints on her wall. Since she is from Thai and she might be fond of tropic plants in her room. Her favorite color would be pink, green, and baby blue.

SCENE

The bedroom scene "appears" in the film when she goes home after a whole day of work. (Not exist in real film but let's imagine)

She took a look around the prints on the wall everyday she goes back home because they can really calm her down.

Try to re-create the same room atmosphere according to
Apichatpong Weerasethakul's film
Syndromes and a Century.
Here are screenshots from the movie just so let you know the reference.
This is a scene where people are talking in doctor's interview room:

Day 01 Ex 03: Character

There once were three cute chicks

 Very cute little yellow chick

 But suddenly "BOOM!"

They found them three all dead

With angel rings over their cute little yellow heads

" What just happened?"
Their little brain ran so fast trying to know why

But "BOOM! BOOM!" it happened again

Only two of them left in the land

They think "Uh oh, one of us has disappeared"

Then they stared at each other but there was no fear

Because deep inside they know it clear

Once once, there was only one egg

They were all one and will never left

Day 01 Ex 02: Camera / Focal Angle

Intro

Hi, I am Sunny Liang, a BFA 4 student in the experimental animation program.
For the past three years of my study, I focused mostly in the 2d field.
I love to combine different media for each has their own texture and beauty.

Since last year, I have been exposed to works done by 3d software but still retains the quality of 2d, and it was a pleasant experience to see how well 2d and 3d could combine in one visual presentation.

I have been exposed to cinema 4D in a workshop in my 3rd year at CalArts. The guy (David?) who came here showed us tons of incredible effects and workflow. I wasn't really a 3d person and didn't really like the programme maya but I gained interests in cinema 4D right away after that workshop.

I have found it's a clean and easy 3d program to begin with and hope to gain more technical fluency in this class : )
